I get a "Fatal error: Out of memory" message during import or export.

You can change the amount of per-process memory in PHP by uncommenting the following line in the config.inc.php file within the BPM's folder.
//ini_set('memory_limit', '64M');
That will increase the limit to 64MB. You may need to go even higher than that. I've seen some sites with VERY large databases that needed to be increased to 256MB to complete a full export.
There's another line right above that one which increases the timeout for each process. You may need to uncomment it if you find the process timing out.
